SMS Opt-In & Messaging Policy

The program

Derek's Mobile Wash is a mobile car wash serving Victorville, Apple Valley, Hesperia, Adelanto, Oak Hills, and Phelan, California (dereksmobilewash.com, (760) 490-2944). We send transactional appointment messages only:

One booking confirmation (weekend requests: when the owner approves, or a decline notice)
One reminder the evening before the appointment
Scheduling updates if an appointment is moved or cancelled
One post-service thank-you

A phone number is required on the booking form only so the owner can reach the customer about the appointment; providing a phone number is not consent to receive text messages.

Message frequency varies with the customer's bookings — typically 2–3 messages per appointment. Message and data rates may apply. No marketing, promotional, or third-party messages are ever sent. Consent to receive these messages is optional and is not a condition of purchase or of any service.

How customers opt in — the only opt-in path

The customer visits dereksmobilewash.com and fills out the booking form (vehicle, date, time, name).
They enter their own mobile phone number in the required Phone field.
They may actively check the optional consent checkbox shown below. It is unchecked by default.
On submission, the customer's choice is stored with the booking record (date-stamped). Appointment messages are sent only to numbers whose booking carries an affirmative consent record.

Consent is optional and is never a condition of service. The booking form submits normally whether or not the box is checked, and the customer receives the same service either way. A customer who leaves it unchecked simply receives no automated text messages — the owner contacts them by phone instead.

There are no other opt-in paths: no keyword opt-in, no imported lists, no paper forms, no purchased data.

The submit button is active whether or not the box is checked — the booking completes either way.

Reply STOP to any message to opt out immediately (standard opt-out keywords are honored automatically). Reply HELP for help, or call/text the owner directly at (760) 490-2944.
